I lost it at the park today, on purpose. Five boys were playing with one girl on the play structure. They quickly moved along from normal kid banter to name calling to cursing to bragging about their boy parts and wagging them in her face and telling her to suck them to calling her fat and ugly and slutty and offering to ‘bang’ her and “Hey, let’s push her off!” and ganging up behind her and pushing her onto the ledge–the same ledge where a nine-year-old was hanged by high schoolers last winter–as she clung hard to the poles scared but still not protesting until I finally quit ignoring it and screamed like a total psycho at them to get their hands off of her. And when I asked them what the hell they thought they were doing, one of them squeaked, “Playing.”
Somebody tell me. Where are the men in this town?
I love you.
Good for you for stepping up- I know that is no easy thing. Keeping you all in my prayers.
YOU ROCK! Don’t mess with the Mother!
Oh Becky…the only words I have are tears, for the poor girl, and gratitude that you stepped in on her behalf.
Where are the men? There not at Chuck’s. Been there many times. Off hand my guess is either getting high on meth or yankin’ their tool to internet porn. Possibly both.
Geeze, that whole story just pisses me all kinds of off!
She didn’t protest, because if she does it will make it worse, and it will make them madder, and then she won’t have any “friends” at all, and it won’t change anything, and she doesn’t have anyone to tell who will stick up for her, and. . .
Oh. . .wait. . .I think God delivered a soldier to the park today to help that little girl out.
Thank you for “losing it.” Thank you for taking care of the helpless. Thank you for doing what Jesus did in a temple long ago with a lot of bullies who were stealing people’s dignity by stealing their money.
If that little girl wasn’t able to say it then I will.
Thank you.
Gross visual, awesome response.
