Partly because I have nothing else to post about, and partly because I really need to see all this in writing. . .
To Do:
Set up phone/internet service, electricity, garbage, propane.
Remove brush and tree carcass from front yard at new house.
Fill in propane line ditch at new house.
Finish filling bookshelves at new house.
Wash off construction dust from counters and cabinets at new house.
Wash every piece of clothing in the old house.
Empty dressers and closets; box or bag contents.
Order new office chair.
To Do Later:
Move remaining furniture.
Move remaining kitchen stuff.
Empty garage to storage or dump.
Deep clean old house floors and walls.
I’m totally forgetting something. Probably something important. Hopefully it occurs to me later.
First order new office chair. Then, you will feel that something has already been completely accomplished. Wish I could be there to help.
My prayers are with you.

The kids! The kids! Don’t forget the kids!!!
Really though, one tip I have for you…. don’t unpack the dressers and put in boxes or bags. Leave the stuff in there. Take the drawers out, move the frame, then just put the drawers back in there when you’re to the new place.
My mom moves a lot, that’s always helped.
Unless of course you wanted to really do some spring cleaning?!
I always hate that you have to clean the new house AND the old house. Shouldn’t the new house be spotless to move into. arggggg. and now you know my pet peeves
I was gonna say the same thing about the dresser drawers. . .just pull ’em out full (or empty since it appears that every item of clothing in your old house needs washing)–move the dresser–then put the drawers back in. Same with hanging clothes–pull them out of the closet on hangers–haul ’em to the new place and hang ’em up.
I think it was also a good reminder not to forget the children. I know that Ella is attached, but the other run loose and can be misplaced. 🙂
