You know you’re a little too stressed out when the dialogue in your head intersects randomly with real-life dialogue, so that when your son is helping you search for a shoe, and he says, “Mommy, can Sissy wear her swimsuit when we go to the beach?”, you reply, “But wouldn’t that make him uncomfortable?”
These are the days that make me think twice about writing.
Oh, but it would be so interesting! ; )
I watched a rented dvd this weekend. The Science of Sleep. Sort of a whimsical mixture of real life and dreams/thoughts going on there also 🙂
I’ve done the same thing myself. It always tickles a little, when I find the dish soap in the fridge.
One time I yelled at Tony for eating all of the lunch meat–then found it THE NEXT DAY in the pantry. . .I often hold conversations with myself in my head–then address Tony with part of it and he says, “Do I need to remember this?” He’s learned to check just in case.
And from what I’ve been blessed to peruse. . .you should DEFINITELY keep up the writing.
“I often hold conversations with myself in my head–then address Tony with part of it…”
Jenn and I do that to each other all the time. Especially in the car on long trips.
“It always tickles a little, when I find the dish soap in the fridge.”
When I was a kid, I once found the remote control in the freezer. My dad’s clever on-the-spot excuse, “I was trying to make the batteries last longer.”
