It’s dead.
I think for my new one I’m going to go with something a little more serious, like with interchangeable lenses and such, so I can learn more photography as I go.
Suggestions?

Yes, a Nikon D 40 or 50 (50 is probably better)- great camera, easy to use, takes fabulous shots pretty much all the time, and is relatively inexpensive for what you get.
The Canon 5D Mark 2 is also a great camera, but I believe it is around $3,000- whereas the Nikon is around $500…
There you are!! I hadn’t heard from you!! Hey, I was wondering what’s going on with the girls’ school, etc. Are you still with the charter school? Is everything going well, are you liking what you are doing? Just wondering. =)
I just got a new camera, but it is not a pro camera by any means. It is a Panasonic Lumix, with like, a 12x optical zoom. So it’s much fancier than my last and can do way more than I can figure out. But I like it… it was on clearance for $160 or so? My SIL just got a new one too, it’s a Canon and I think it was like, $250, but it takes great pictures and is 9 MP and 10 x optical zoom. Let us know what comes of it!!
You know, I had been thinking about maybe putting my Canon Rebel SLR (it’s a 300d, i think, officially) on ebay… It’s a 6.3 MP but “shoot” it takes great pictures – and at one time it was the golden boy.
TAKE Stephanie’s Canon Rebel! Seriously!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine! I have the Canon Rebel Xti. Best money ever spent!
I don’t know. . . Camera shopping is tricky!! Right now we’re liking the Nikon d60, or something like that, with at least 10 mp. I’ve heard it’s a lot of camera for the money. But I’ve still got a lot of research to do.
