So. My toilet and bath tub spewed up sewage about three inches deep across my bathroom floor and part of the hallway. And they did this about fifteen minutes after I called the property manager to say we had some kind of minor clog and might need a plumber soon. So I called the property manager back to say that we would actually need a plumber now. As in five minutes ago, before my carpet was seeping. And she got on the phone and made people come, which she always does, because she is fabulous and makes me glad we rent and don’t have to make things happen at times like these.
So the kids and I spent the afternoon at the church watching movies, while Jason opened doors for the very talented handy man (who found that some flap on our sewer pipe was not flapping properly) and shop-vacked eight bucketloads of stinky water out of the house. My heroes. And Jenn and Jason F. brought dinner to us at the church and sat with us for a while. And they lent us their carpet cleaner to make our hallway smell pretty again. And we bleached the bathroom floors and walls and tub and cabinets. And all is right again. And I’m ready for an early bedtime. Or a soda. Hard to decide, really.
That’s so sad. I really don’t like messes like that, especially when I am pregnant! Maybe it’s time for some M&M’s…oh sorry. I don’t normally really think much of them, but when we were in Vegas we went to the M&M store, and I had some almond M&M’s and some dark chocolate M&M’s. Evidently this baby likes them. So, here’s wishing you some dark chocolate M&M’s, or whatever else might sound really yummy to your baby right now.
Turns out it was a Whatchamacallit. And a Pepsi.
But I do love me some almond m&m’s!
