I don’t do well on no sleep when I’m not pregnant. When I am pregnant, I can barely function if I don’t sleep. It requires all the concentration I have just to spell right now. (There’s some serious backspacing going on over here. Trust me.) And I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing today, besides making bread for tonight. I think I can do that. I have a breadmaker, anyway. I should probably also teach some school. Maybe I’ll just stick to workbooks for today. Tell my husband to come home already. I’m starting to sound whiny.

Note to Becky: TAKE A BREAK! Call it Spring Break, call it (my-husband-is-gone-and-I-am-pregnant-with-four-children) break. Do laundry one day and call it home ec day. Or better yet, bake something yummy and call it home ec/math day, because they do have to measure you know. Or make something with frosting, where they can mix food colors and call it science. But take a break. Your six year old can do carrying over in her head, I think they’ll all be fine. =) That all means that I love you and you need to take care of yourself and your sweet baby, whom we are all hoping to hear more about very soon.
I took it pretty easy. It was kind of pathetic actually. Much lounging in pajamas and lots of couch napping. And the girls got started in their Latin workbooks and played with Egyptian hieroglyphics stencils to spell everybody’s names. And Jonah and Naiah jumped around on couch cushions and watched “Boo” on hulu.com. And absolutely nothing of import was accomplished. Except the nap. I’m not even making dinner, because it’s at church tonight. And thank you for caring about me and the baby, and you and your baby. We’ll have to get those two together sometime soon.
Yes, I agree(about getting the babies together!)…it’s also that I read your words, and feel those guilty feelings that creep up all the time…I’m not doing enough, or what I am doing I am not doing well, or blah, blah, blah. Why are we moms so hard on ourselves?? It occured to me that while I was busy whining in my misery (of not feeling well) that I was missing a miracle. I think I will savor the miracle of baby, and be hard on myself another day. Why don’t you do the same and we can enjoy it together?? Plus, everything is expected to be a little upside downish when Daddy is away. =)
Washington’s great, home is better. I miss you. I want bread. I want you.
Aaaahhhh, that is soooooooooooooo sweet, Jason!!!!
I can So relate to the sleep think. People keep telling me it is a stage… I don’t believe them… but right now I want sleep more than money, food or …. anything. I hope you get a break when Jason gets back.
